I made a game!

I’m so excited this is finally finished! The Blood Cloud: The Game!

A long time ago KC Green of Gunshow fame tweeted: this was my favorite old game and watch game http://yfrog.com/gz20xqp

He was referencing his book The Blood Cloud which has a story in it called The Blood Cloud [read it here] At the same time I was playing a lot of Game and Watch games at http://pica-pic.com/ and I was inspired by his art so I made it!

I drew all the art and learned Actionscript 3.0 and got really mad at Actionscript 3.0 and almost threw my monitor out the window but then my friend Mike Stanton came to my rescue and saved me! He’s a wiz at this Actionscript stuff so if it wasn’t for him this wouldn’t have been possible! Thanks Mike!

Basically this is a love letter to KC Green. His comics really inspired me to get off my ass and just draw. All the comics I drew this year after attending NEWW were inspired by his energy and ability to get a funny idea down on paper and get it out to the readers. I’ve read The Blood Cloud probably 20 times and it keeps getting funnier every time I read it.

Anyway, enjoy the game! I loved making it [except for the parts I hated!] and hope you like it!

FULL DISCLOSURE! I never beat this game. I owned it. Played it for years. Never saw a single mini-boss. The open worldness of it had me lost forever. People talked of Ridley being awesome but I never even saw his sprite until a few years ago. I found out Samus was a girl from Nintendo Power and the Justin Bailey code.

Shortround, Sala, Willie? None of these people were Indiana Jones’s true partner. Twas his hat!

I am open to suggestions for a better title for this. All of my punning powers have been sapped by this sickness I am battling with!

Here is a new comic! I am skeptical that it is funny! I wrote it in college and drew it hastily, here I tried to spend more time on the drawing but I don't know if the joke works as well but either way, here it is!

This is the end of the Jess Is Sick series. She shot herself after developing typhoid and being bitten by a snake. RIP Jess

Jess bought a Neti-Pot to try to flush her sinuses so she didn’t have to sleep on the couch anymore for fear of oozing all over the place and drowning me. It’s funny to watch her use the Neti-Pot because it looks like she forgot how to drink and is just muscling through hoping no one notices.

Jess got sick over the Christmas vacation. This is one result of that.
